Rummelsburger Bucht

Rummelsburger Bucht is a bay of the river Spree, bordering the districts of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and Lichtenberg, and is a popular local recreation area.

It is also a highly sought-after residential district in which approx. 5,000 people live in buildings mostly constructed after 1997. In memory of the DEFA film classic “The Legend of Paul and Paula”, part of the riverbank path was officially renamed Paul-and-Paula bank in 1998. Visitors can follow Rummelsburger Hauptstraße to access the Rummelsburg Memorial Site.
